| I've seen this cake described differently by others, but the ones I fired last year weren't too good. They sent up 6 shots at a time and each group broke into a mixure of crackling flowers, a few colored stars, and what looked like little scrambling comets. The breaks looked really messy and they weren't very big. |

i think it is a good 500g cake. it has 36 shots and for the first part it shoots 5 shots a little to the left and five shots a little to the right. all ten shots whistle on the way up and they slightly swirl. then all ten break into really nice big colored palm trees, and theres lots of crackle.
the next ten shots are the same going up, but they break into brocades with tons of crackle.
the next ten are the colored palms again.
then only 5 shots go up and break into brocades with tons of crackle.
as soon as these ones break 5 more go up with brocades also and tons of crackle.
then 5 palms go up, and as soon as they break 5 more palms go up.
then 10 brocades go up with tons of crackle, and its over.
the label says only 36 shots but i counted about 60 shots. the cake is pretty fast paced (38 seconds long) so it would be good for a show.
i would buy this cake for $40 or less. |

Wow. You definitely had a different Shotgun Wedding than I had. I checked the video of our show to be sure and it was just like I described above. The breaks were very messy with crackling flowers, color stars, and little tiny scrambling comets all at the same time. It looked like there was also some spinners thrown in. I paid $12.50 each for mine and was very disappointed even at that price. |

Were all of the effects mixed together in the ones you lit? I've seen some reviews of this cake saying that it had color breaks from the 1st group of shots, then crackling flowers with spinners in the next group. The ones I lit last year had all of the effects crammed together into each group. |

the ones i've seen did not have all the effects crammed together. They were 6 shots at a time whistling, scrambling comets,glitter,red/green heads alternating whistling to report/crackling,,and maybe a few stars in there can't quite remember. |

I just watched the video, yeah the breaks were a little messy but it's somewhat unique from other cakes. I can imagine what a couple of these going off together would sound like. _________________ "EMIT'S SHOWERS OF SPARKS"... So does my brakes, what's your point?! |

So are you saying that your Shotgun Wedding was not a "Brothers" cake, or that it was just screwed up? |

I think casper was saying that the one he shot didn't fit the description by fireworkslvr. Nor did mine. It was the same as the video someone posted. Definitely not 60 shots. Just because each shot does different things, that doesn't make it several shots each. Also, in people's descriptions, people may view or describe things differently. It's a nice cake, but i'm not getting it again this year.

| I did not care for it as I like to have huge breaks in my 500 gram cakes. I like to get what i pay for. |

| There's also a video of it on Bob Weaver's PyroVideo #4 or 5 (the one where everything on there is listed in A-D, E-G, type of structure). |

It was Brothers, but it didn't perform like the ones other people have seen.
I noticed on Pyro Review that someone even got one that fired one shot at a time. |

I just checked PYROvideo #4. That cake is completely different than the Shotgun Weddings I have fired. Not only are the breaks different, but the firing sequence is also different. The ones I lit had the same pause between each of the six groups of shots. The one on the video actually sends a couple of the groups up very close together.
Not sure where you're seeing brocade breaks, though. All I see are groups of palm breaks and then groups of crackling flowers. You can actually see the stars spreading out before they "break" into cracking flowers, but I don't see any brocades. |

I just checked another Shotgun Wedding at a different point on our video. It actually alternates between crackling flowers and breaks mixed with glitter, spinners, and what looks like poor mum breaks. They could be palms, but they look like weak mums to me.
That's four different versions. Anyone else seen a different one?
Seems like they couldn't make up their minds on this one. |

That would be me It was apparently just screwed up fusing. Shot one later in the year and it was more like the video. I guess you can't have perfect consistency with every cake, but it would be nice.

| Based on Bob Weaver's video I had thought about trying to get Shotgun Wedding for my show this year, but considering all of the inconsistencies of performance mentioned here, I'm a bit reluctant. |

| There is also a video of it on www.herbiesfireworks.com under movies. I think it looks like the one on pyroreview though. |
