I found another free page while downloading from the pro-american site. They also have some great patriotic music.
The thing with this page is that when I clicked on the song I wanted I was taken to a site about 911, instead of a download beginning like I expected.
The site had a time table of the events that happened on September 11, 2001. At the top of the page is an image that says click to proceed. I did so and a video started to load. I thought, “What the hell is this?”, and just about stopped the video. Well I let it load and I am glad I did.
This video is nothing more than a photo compellation set to music. However, to me, this video is one of the most powerful reminders of the tragedy of 911, and why we went to Afghanistan and Iraq, and why we must remain vigilant in our fight against terrorism.
If you choose to watch the video you should prepare yourself for some powerful memories and any associated emotions you may have had when learning of the 911 events. I found myself drifting during the video to exactly where I was when I learned what was happening. I again felt the anger and outrage and later the heartbreak of the events, and my pride in the hero’s who emerged.
I remember vividly exactly where I was when the planes hit the towers. I was at work in the hospital......and we had finished receiving report and were just getting started with assessments, meds, morning care, etc.....all of a sudden there were hysterical screams , wailing, and cries from many pt rooms and the call lights outside the rooms lit up, and there was a mass movvement of employees in the hallways and nursing station into rooms that had the call lights on......TV stations were showing over and over again the clip of the first plane hitting the tower....and there was confusion about it....whether it was terrorist, accident, etc....and that went on a couple of minutes....and then the second plane hit....and we knew....we all knew...vast majority of patients on our floor are elderly with relatives up north and they rapidly started to become more and more hysterical with the inability to get phone calls through to NYC......and there was much hustle and bustle as we suddenly hgad a nightmare to work with(though no where near what occurred and ensued in NYC, Penn, and Wash DC)... seemed like al patients were going wild with fear, massive incoming phone orders from doctors, etc....and that went on it seemed for hours. Later in the afternoon was anoter memory that struck deeply....our hospital has many Muslim docotrs and many Jewish doctors....and they were all exhausted......off to the side were a number of Muslim docots sitting and they had all been crying and were generally silent.....a number of Jewish doctors went over to them and comforted the Muslim doctors....and the Muslim doctors started crying more and the Jewish doctors and Muslim doctors hugged each other....I can't even imagine all the emotions, thoughts, and memories that flowed thru them.......but those doctors who were merely friendly acquaintances prior to this were suddenly joined by generations of conflict and hatred that had suddenly changed to understanding and caring for each other......It was on that day the one beautiful thing I saw.....cultural differences that had developed over centuries melting away in one moment of horror that shattered the past and brought those doctors together....
a number of weeks later there was a patient in our nursing station who was diagnosed with Anthrax and was transferred to ICU where he died...and the understanding came that this could occur at any place and at any time.
a year after 9/11.....I was off that day and was watching TV...and was getting burned out with watching all the 9/11 memorial stuff on every channel it seemed....so I changed the channel to TechTV hoping to catch some non-emotional computer stuff.....and it was mainly ciomputer stuff with 9/11 twist......but then the commercial happened....I turned my head towards the TV as I heard some soft music...TechTV was doing a memorium to all those who died by having a black background with the victims names, ages, hometowns in large letters scroll down the screen.....and the words caught my eyes......a classmate from junior high who I hadn't seen in around 30 years was on the screen....we were a small 9th grade with 30 students......John and I had been in many of the same classes and both played soccer and baseball......we had been t each others homes countless times....and he was dead......I collapsed in my living room chair and just cried and cried....
We were all touched by 9/11 ......by the horrors of that day.....the sudden uncertainty of what would come......and the meaning of being friends, family, and being American growing stronger as we all needed each other as we never before realized.
Watching that just pissed me off!!!! All these whiney liberal mo-fo's apparently forgot what happened that day and forgot GWB's words
"we will not distinguish between the terrorists who committed this act of war and the countries who harbor them"
That means Iraq, Iran, libya, syria, north Korea, phillipines, afghanastan, and anywhere else that harbors terrorists should be dealt with!!!!!!! We need to continue to play those videos during dinner time on all stations, because apparently these morons have forgot what a significant blow these f-f*****s hit us with...And apparently they forgot how people in iraq, cairo, etc... danced in the streets laughing and cheering that this happened to us....I am a radical, so this might sound bad but I don't care, kill them all and let god sort them out...Muslims are extremists and need to be dealt with to the point of extinction
Not all muslims are terrorists but all terrorists are muslims...
Born in America in 1958.........and your post is rather naive regrading other countries and sadly attempts to politicize that horrible day. That day is personal to me as I lost a close friend on that day as did many others. I Anglican(Church of England) and have many friends who are Christian, Jewish, or Muslim who sufferred grievously from deaths of loved ones on that day. I happen to be Filopino by my father and take offense at your condemning my fathers country of birth as well as other countries(many of whom are allies and have been fighting terrorism far longer than you or I have been alive). And as for harboring terrorists and enemies of freedom......It would be wise to look within America for terrorists.....as well as those so-called self-proclamed patriots serving in government who are doing some mightily un-patriotic things to Americans in general.....such as calling Daniel Inouye unpatriotic(a Japanese-American Senator from Hawaii who was severely wounded serving America in WWII despite his family being in internment camps....aka prison for having been born American and having Japanese parents and also happens to be a close friend of Bush Sr)...another American accused of being un-patriotic is Max Clelland who had both his legs blown off by a mine in Vietnam...And who accused those good men of being un-patriotic......none other than your beloved GWB....a coward who used family pull to avoid active service in regular military...and why were they called un-patriotic.....for no other reason than accusing GWB of attempting to take away freedoms of Americans.....GWB agitates by fear....whether real or things he has to manufacture and is not reverred or respected by myself since he's a coward.
I also find it shameful that you attempted to politicize this thread that was dedicated to the memory of those who died.....
I'm liberal and also bled....in combat serving America....how about you?
"Not all muslims are terrorists but all terrorists are muslims... "
is also false and worded in way that is strikingly similar to bigots, Hitler(when he agitated against the Jews.....blaming them for all problems).
FWIW.....Phillipine government is also comprised primarily of Christians......the reason they haven't successfully dealt with guerilla Muslims is due to a number of reason
1.....resopurces of that government
2....that Filopino Muslims look just like Filopino Christians(or are you suggesting something akin to Hitler's final solution?)
3....Guerilla tactics
4.....Phillipine people having respect for their own laws and due process which GWB does not.
ps.....did research ofn GWB speechges and speeches of Hitler's during Hitler's rise to power in pre-war Germany.......in many cases speeches are word for word the saem ecept that Hitler used the words "Father Land" and GWB uses the words " Home Land"
Hitler also proclaimed himself THE Spiritual authority for Germany just as GWB declared himself THE Spiritual authority of America(that is no where in the job description of the President of the USA)
If you want to discuss GWB let's move this discussion to one of the other boards as this one is supposed to be regarding 1.4g fireworks in general .....and is not the place to promote politicians of either party...
is your role model that uber-patriot Major Frank Burns.....your rhetoric is strikingly similar to his.

terrorists
While I do chuckle at your graphic, I can't possibly agree with your first statement. It is patently false, a quick look at anything more than the past 5 years of US-only history makes that clear.
- IRA bombings in London
- Red Brigade kidnappings and bombings in Italy, Germany, other
- Basque bombings in Spain
- Anarchist assasinations in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, US across Europe
- Rebel separtists in England's North American colonies, late 18th century...
Not too many Muslims perpetrating those attacks, mostly "good Christians". Let's put our really broad-stroked paintbrushes back in the toolbox without using it to make such inaccurate generalizations. _________________ Member of Bluegrass Pyrotechnics Guild
