Just in case a crate were to split. It's just a precaution bcause I haven't done destructive tests on them yet.

Tennespeedy - I noticed you have holes drilled through your tubes about 4 inches from the top - I saw that on other set ups, too. I assume that is for fusing but i dont understand the principle, there. Do your fuses not reach the top?

Alot of people drill fuse holes in 15" mortars because most Ball shell fuses won't reach. The Fiberglass only came in 15". Myself, I don't like to fuse over the top when timing them out because of premature ignition.
