Insert from a 4" scrambling comet mine

This is one insert we removed from a 4" scrambling comet mine. It's simply a small 1/2" mortar with a single star in it. We lit it on the pavement and it shot the star out about 30' or so. Funny thing, there were a handful of these in the mine, when we shot the mines in the show 80% were scrambling comets & the other 20% were salutes. You couldn't tell them apart, they all looked the exact same.
