It amazes me how you fuse that maze of boards on those trailers.
Geez, My total 4th show will be 1747 shots.

There is one fuse on the trailer that weaves all the way thru. I'm using 46 second per foot red visco as my leader fuse, each cake has been fitted with an 18" piece of fast yellow which amount to a 4-6 second delay from the main leader until the cake begins to fire, I estimate this trailer to fire out somewhere in the 25-30 minute range. Trailer 2 will run only around 8-10 minutes and the finale trailer with all my shells in the 2 minute range with a huge barrage to end. Dewey, I usually run back up fuses througout my show so that if the main fuse were to stop, the other fuse will follow up shortly from the opposite side and continue firing the show, I also do this from trailer to trailer so that I pretty much guarantee ignition as the show progresses. I have alot of this timed with fuse to act like cues in a firing system. All you have to do is adjust your fuse lengths and ovelap or seperate cakes by their durations. A little advice on cakes, if you've seen it consistently at 45 seconds, estimate it in the 40-42 second range so you avoid down times. Its ok if a cake runs a little slow but you dont want if running fast on you, overlapping is something you need in your show, but stoppages are a guessing game, a few seconds down time can be a good thing to let the crowd catch their breath, but long down times like 1-2 minutes ruin the mood so to speak, I try to avoid this even if it means running a few things together a little quicker than I'd like at times. One last thing here. When you run from one trailer to the next, to avoid down times do this. On you last row of cakes lets say it will take 2 minutes to fire them. Attach a piece of fast fuse at this point to the main leader where there is 2 minutes to go. My fast is consistent at 3 seconds per foot. thats 20 feet per minute, you have 2 minutes which is 40 feet of fast. So the safe point here is a minute and a half or 30feet of fast visco. When you do this, trailer 2 will begin firing before trailer 1 ever stops, looks real smooth and professional. Sorry I've been long winded here but I get excited about this stuff

Very impressive. I really like the idea of putting the show on a trailer like that. You can prefuse it and drive to location, very smart. I hope it all turns out for you. Good Luck and have a great 4th.

Thanks ssgroy, one thing that is not very visible in the pic is the sheet iorn I've attached temporarily to the wood floor of the trailer. I have two wood floor trailers and one metal floor trailer. I put the sheet iron on the wood floors as a precautionary so that I dont have cakes catch on fire and burn my trailers up, the last two years I've had several cakes catch fire and were still burning pretty big at the end of the show, if not for the tin barrier, my trailers would have been destroyed by fire both times.
