      This is the gizmo that is put in the small hole in the top of the cannon to set it off. After loading the bp charge and ball, a person puts a brass pick in the cannon's igniter hole and punches a hole into the bp charge. This igniter is put in the cannon hole and a rope is attached to the small ring. When the rope is pulled the friction igniter blast hot sparks into the bp charge.
