Supermans were the best Rocket for 2006.. To bad that they are history thanks to the CPCS.. Same with Thunder Sticks

I'll second that, Lee. Another vote for Supermans.

I was wondering what happened to those rockets.I remember hearing good things about these rockets but the place that I went to stopped carrying them.I kind of figured they got pulled.
Even though rockets have improved some over the years,I still find them to be pretty dissappointing. I'll give my vote to a small rocket since big rocket breaks suck. Brothers Screaming Cracklers rocket....nice screaming whistle on the way up. |

Yeah I am picky when it comes to rockets. I won't buy a rocket that has a round stick or a flimsy one. I still think the KAR/Night Witch are the best I have shot. With Dominators and Zou Shi darn close.

I am going to say Superman's as well. Had a 40 shot rack of them in a finale and the crowd loved it. Though since they were pulled for obvious reasons my next vote would be towards Smiling from Ear to Ear. Another crowd favorite and extremely innovative and precise for consumer fireworks.

Actually they are Zhou Si I believe. I picked them up a few years ago at Patriotic. They had REALLY good multi color breaks. I think one of the bigger PA retailers still carry them.....Spectacular or North East maybe??
Ah here they are it is Northeast......number 18 on the list no pic though but great rockets. They are 6 to a box and the package is just a plain white box...at least they used to be. http://www.northeastfireworks.com/Pr...rockets_f.html Last edited by shortfusejay; November 27th, 2006 at 02:50 PM. |

Wanted to get my hands on Night Witches but couldn't. The best I've seen are Forward Powerball Rockets.

All in all great rockets. Compared darn well to professional smiley faces minus the duration and obviously much smaller in size. Ive seen much worse patterned smiles at pro shows then any of these rockets.

best "shell on a stick" i've ever seen. if you watch the very end of the video posted of prodigital, sfx, and i's show on the river you can see 6 of them going off right along side 138 fire pheonixes. the powerballs were at the very end of the racks so they are at the very tail end of the rocket finale. the breaks are very big, bright, and symetrical. can't ask for more legaly from a 1.4 rocket. i'm holding onto a case of them right now and i think i'll have to send the whole lot of them skyward this new years.

I found a real good one this year. It's called Whistling Missile the height is perfect along with the Gold Brocade effect. It has a Squirrel Label, never heard of this brand before but awsome rocket and it's perfectly legal

I shot a couple of Superman rockets over the weekend. I can see why it has received so many votes.

You cannot forget the Flashing Strobe Rockets, Glorius Double Time, and United Pyro's Orbital Bomb Rockets.

I am not a big rocket guy but my vote goes to Glorious Double Time too. I don't usually buy rockets opting for shells which have a better bang for the buck. I bought several packages of four from BC's place in WA as I had seen them on the demo DVD. Very nice!!!

I pretty much hate rockets, and have no use for them, but the best "compliant" I have ever shot is the Pyroking Dominator rocket.

I'll take Night Witch(KAR76) or Glorious Glittering Willow.
I've shot 1 Flashing Strobe rocket, god forbid if one of those malfunctioned! Last edited by Pyro Llama77; December 5th, 2006 at 10:26 AM. Reason: adding on text |

I'll second the Night Witches!
Also Cannon's Pinball rockets- perfect rings out of those bad boys. Smiling from Ear to Ear are great too. I've heard that Red Rhino's Metallica rockets are at least as good as Night Witches, but without the quality control issues. I have not had a chance to light my pack yet... for good old fashioned fun, I always liked the Tigerhead brand Feirce Tiger Soaring rockets. LOUD screech of a whistle, then turns to a gold comet for a sec or two, then gave off s spray of red and green stars. Real attention getters. As for cases from Northeast, you need to ask Bob . Usually depends on how much of the item he has and how well it sells. I have no clue what he'd want for one though... i do know they were in stock as of last friday. they are now packed in an open topped box, like so many others, but they look to be the same ones I always loved! He also has Night Witches, Metallicas, Glittering Willows, Fire Phoenix's and many others. |
