It was not the biggest but it was different.. Brothers Keg Party has my vote for 2006 Fountain of the Year!

PS since we are not limited to 2006 items.. Phantom Newyork Harbor is still #1

You know I have heard so much about that New York Harbor Show that I no longer can ignore it. What does it do that makes it so good?

I have never shot the silvery but I have been told it is just as nice but no crackle

I really want a few cases of the silvery (if anyone that is coming my way has access to them please get me some)

Forward or Kendo cone is very similar or the same as the Red Rhino/Forward Silver laser cone.

Silvery is different. It is quiet (cool wooshing sound) and the spray is very bright white and thick.

Behomoth is gets my vote for fountain of the year.

I got 2 cases last year BOGOF so 12 at $12.5 a pop, the price was right. They do a little of everything. Nice full 3-minute fountain. I like to put a pair of Brothers Super Fountains on each side of a Phantom NYH on 5ft ladders. Let the NYH go for 1 1/2 minutes then light the two Super Fountains. (The Super Foutains should be 15 feet away on each side of the NYH. you get a 60 foot wall.) I got a standing ovation last year for frigging fountains. My son and I looked at each other and just shrugged.WTF?

Well you know people really speak highly of Joe Ratmans show and it has most fountains. He sent me a DVD and I got to tell ya there is something about a real nice fountain show! I guess Black Cat may do OK after-all.

Yeah I need to hit Joe up for some fountains that feature specific colors, blues, greens, reds, purple, you know to set up some fountain fronts. I guess that will give me something to start researching with Bobs new A-Z Guide. Brands are limited. We have TNT and very little of anything else now. Blockbuster had some Black Cat, but I don’t think they will be back after being aquired by TNT. The Pahrump shops only carry a small selection of fountains. Most folks that drive all the way to Pahrump are not looking for fountains if you know what I mean. LOL

Black Cat had Spectrum fountains that were specific colors.

Blue Avalanche - multiple shades of blue, deep, pale and iridescent.
Reaping Harvest - multiple shades of gold, yellow and amber.
Mercury Rising - multiple shades of red, bright red through to crimson.
Electric Forest - multiple shades of green, the whole pastoral range.

Blue Avalanche lasted 69 seconds. It is my favorite blue fountain. They are all rated for "a minute", so they probably similar duration of just over a minute.

RR Crazy Cone Gold gets my vote here, for the third year straight, nice single effect... gold spray up to 20' at it's peak.

The crazy cone generally lasts 32 seconds. But I had some this year that only lasted about 25 and they did not go as tall as previous years. They did not have as much comp as they did from previous years (lighter).

25-30 seconds, I think it doesn't last as long as some cause it's really pushin the comp out fast to get it's height, these things really have a loud hiss to them.

Yes, the famous product changes from year to year is really frustrating at times.

I had three batches of Crazy Cone's this year and was given a head's up that they had been "toned down" The first batch was exceptional, used them in my fourth show. started planning the next shoot and tested batch 2....crap, scratched them from the show and threw them in a box. Grabbed one the other night and lit it out of boredom.....exceptional! Welcome to fireworks. Even had one explode in my fourth show and heard some others were having problems also.

#1 Can't say
#2 Kendo Cone, Silver Lazer
#3 Great Grizzly Dealers Choice- Nice colors and good duration for a small fountain
#4 Razzle Dazzle-The Works- This one is unique as gets very little height but gets a lot of width. It's about a 1.5" tall and 1" in diameter and lasts over a minute with intense crackling. Great little product.
#5 Not a true fountain but Starr brand Strobe Pots in White- Wow! Can you say burnt retina??

Yes, I agree, those Starr Strobe pots are extremely bright and long lasting (1 min). I find that all the colors (yellow, green, red, white) are really retina burning. I had five going at once during my S&S shows and 4 at Thunder on the Plains and you always get the "whats that?" and "thats bright" comments.

The Lava Lamp by FOA has been a favorite in my store. I have not found another one anything like it. I have been trying to obtain a few cases for this season but FOA in South Carolina it out.
