Default Too much? Boring?

Am I going to bore people to death if I start my show as follows

Wall of fountains - 1 case of yet undecided.

SMB / Smoke / Super Strobes

Roman Candle rack - 1/2 cases

20-40 flying fish mines

.. on to cakes and 300 shells

I would say no.

But it really depends on how it is presented.

My shooting area is a few hundred acres. I will have 3 or 4 elevated 4*8 boards spread 50-75 feet apart e-fired. I would shoot these as follows.

1) Fountains double quick matched from the middle and both ends one long row on 1*4s

2) From each platform - SMBs (front), Smoke, Super Strobes in the back.

3) Roman Candles in one or two fan racks

4) Fish Mines - fired from the ends, starting out slow and speeding up to quick match for the last 10-20.

I was also thinking about 2 angled racks of color pearls - I like them and they are cheap.

Well when I did fountain shows, I had groups of fountains about 10-12 feet apart.

At STL 2009, I had five stations 50' apart, which I felt was a good distance for the 200g cakes I used. For the fountains, small mines and other ground items, I had mini-boards between the stations, so I had nine positions about 25' apart. You can see the results in this video.

Comets, foutains, mines, ground items.

There was then two more sections with cakes, plus an intro with some proximate items. They are in the gallery as well.

Sounds really bad, you should just give everything to me
No really I think it sounds like a nice opener if you have good spacing.

I started using fountains a few years back. It can really add to the start of a show. Many songs start of quiet and build up. fountains are a great way to allow for that and build some suspense....

then BOOOM! you scare the pee out of them! We usually have an efired mine & cake for that kickoff.

A good fountain like the silvery cones make such a tall shower that your shooters can hide behind it and the crowd does not know exactly when things are being it :-p

I started doing it after a show were we had a 1min lead in and my shooting partner and I had lit flares out on the field that entire time.. people said it really built suspense knowing mayhem was imminent.
