I'm sold. I agree man, Leave the bottom nailed. that seems to be your built in natural "safe" failure point, just use fairly long nails to keep them from backing out all the way. Definitely load that bad boy up now and see what it takes to get a complete failure of it. I'm gonna guess at the half way point, say shell #4 or 5, if all the failures happen to one side first. then the bottom might be pushed out enough the recoil could dump it on it's side. if the failures are staggered through the rack I'm willing to bet it will lose it in the last couple of shots if at all. Either way it will deserve a viking funeral. lol

I would love to test it to the limits, but that couldn't be done for a long time. I dont have the land where I live to test that. I would probably have to wait till GLASS.
