    Phantom editing user reviews

Has anyone else ever seen Phantom edit its user reviews?

For example, here is a review for the "Red Round Dahlia" item:

Dear GOD! This thing almost got me arrested, Tuesday, May 11, 2004
    Reviewer: Andrew from Ohio
The blast to take the shell up was very deep and loud, and the explosion in the air was just ridiculous!!! LOUD, HUGE BURST, SUPER HIGH IN THE AIR!!! BRIGHT RED ROUND BURST! BUY THIS SHELL NOW!
Here is what the original review looked like, per Google's cache:

Dear GOD this thing almost got me arrested, Tuesday, May 11, 2004
    Reviewer: Andrew from Cleveland
Well I figured I would end my second year of college with a little fun, as my roomate and I decided to light this bad boy off. My friends ALL THE WAY ACROSS CAMPUS heard this and thought it was GUNFIRE!!!! The cops were out swarming the scence, as was campus security!!! The blast to take the shell up was very deep and loud, and the explosion in the air was just rediculous!!! LOUD, HUGE BURST, SUPER HIGH IN THE AIR!!! BRIGHT RED ROUND BURST>>>>> BUY THIS SHELL NOW!
I think that it's because that Phantom doesn't want anyone to encourage illegal activities, LOL.

    Speaking of their reviews.

They allowing anyone the privledge of reviewing Silver Sonic Warheads?

Negative reviewing of the newer versions is unallowable.

    Apparently anyhow.

just to give you an idea of how "trustworthy" they are on reviews...

i worked there, one of the first things they specificly told me...

if a customer asks for m-80's you direct them to the cheap BS firecrackers called m-80's and you are not allowed to tell them that they are different from what they are looking for.

i was basicly told not to inform people that real m-80's are banned and are no longer sold.

this is why you'll also find items in thier stores called "cherry bombs"

i'm suprised there aren't "quarter sticks" in thoes stores.

it's sick...made me feel dirty, i had to shower 3 times a day working there.

    BOOM!!!, Tuesday, July 06, 2004
    Reviewer: Phantom Fan from Omaha,NE
These things are so loud. i put 1 of these on top of a big action figure and it blew it up into pieces.

kinda loud, Thursday, June 30, 2005

They need more bang. But they blow up pop- cans well.
It would seem Phantom is not being very responsible in their editting as well. Three of the reviews suggest using them to "blow stuff up". s

You also get the M-98s in the search list as well. Those reviews even have more suggestions for blowing things up.

Watch the video and listen to the crowd goes wild - NOT!

$199.99 for one (or is that BOGOF?). Still $99.99 for that is obscene.

    Re: Phantom editing user reviews

i find so many user opinions on phantom's website to be completely the opposite of what i feel after lighting off the firework.

    everything is not that exciting
just look at the opinions under the snap pops and you'll know what i mean

    Re: Phantom editing user reviews

How about their full line of Silver Salute firecrackers and the M88 Silver (ground) Salutes? Or the old Liling Salute candles that had 10 "titanium salutes"? They also state that Phantasm has salutes. Phantom's marketing is pathetic and aimed at fooling only those who do not know any better (SALUTES? BOGO? MY A$$), and their reviews are doing more to hurt our hobby. So everyone who claims Phantom helps the hobby needs to see what kind of harmful posts are being added to their website, and how many of those are from little kids who will certainly be the next victims of fireworks injuries.

    Re: Phantom editing user reviews

Those fake salutes and the 10 gun liling candles are so weak, I don't see how it's even possible to get injured by them .
