Thread: Getting ready for a little shoot

Default Getting ready for a little shoot

Just got through putting together some stuff for a little shoot I'm going to do with a friend, probably Sunday night.

ROMAN CANDLE RACK -- 32 candles, including 2x American Thunder, 2x Glorious Bazooka, 2x Black Cat Ice Breaker (Spectrum Force), 2x Black Cat Blue Blaster (Handful), 17 Glorious Assorted, etc.

200-GRAM BOARD -- Space Express, Double Crosser, Bermuda Triangle, Fantastico USA, Century Festival, Platinum Pyro Fusion.

    POOR-MAN'S RACK -- 6x Whistling Blaster, 2x Colossus, 2x Asian Deuces, 2x Asian Aces.

The first three cakes on the board are fused for about 30-second intervals because I want to demo them for a friend. Once Fantastico USA starts, there should be just a couple seconds of delay before the Century Festival and Platinum Pyro Fusion start firing for a mini-finale.

I think we'll light the cake board, then when Fantastico USA starts, that will be the cue to light the candle rack, and the first shot from the candle rack will be the cue to light the poor-man's.

I plan to videotape this, but it might take a while to convert it to digital and get it uploaded. Should be a nice 2 minutes or so.

How are you doing your POOR-MAN'S RACK's? I think I will be doing same until my real racks get made.

    2ftx3ft piece of 1/2" plywood
    12 cardboard kit tubes
    24 1" wood screws

3 rows of 4 tubes each, fused with fast visco leader. Just drill little holes in corners of the tube bases and screw them down to the plywood, 2 screws per tube. Don't screw them down too tight -- a bit of "give" will help prevent the tubes from breaking off the base from the lift charge.
