This may be a dumb question, but how do I get my hands on said catalog?
In addition, how do people get demo videos of products from the companies? Do you have to be a retailer or wholesaler?
Sorry for the mild thread hijack.
I emailed Brothers and requested a cataloge. It was a nice hardcover book with a DVD of all the new products, and some older products as well. Free of charge as well...and I'm a nobody as far as being involved in the industry at all. Was just curious about what they had coming out.
However I don't believe I got the insert that this thread is about.
I could go for some new demo videos to watch. Way to go Brothers!
The flyer came in the AFN - a fireworks newsletter that you suscribe to - maybe buy yourself a sebscription for a Christmas present - or suggest a loved one to get for you!

I was perusing the Brother's website and it's pretty cool. A few of the links for the video's appear to be dead. I was trying to look at the container load assortment video and shows page not found.![]()

It's a nice assortment, I had it this year. Some nice cakes in it as well as a couple other small items that were pretty good.
Does Kneppy's carry the Brothers assortments?
Received prices on these items today...will be carrying some for 09 and I think the 6/1s, 8/1s and 12/1s will be the wave of the future for pyro value...

yeah you are right for LDTL....
but what I am saying - i never liked Brothers Assort. - the Container Load seems to be the only nice looking assort. IMO - but too much $$ and takes up too much space!

More importantly than all other things, the quality of these cakes will be determined when we can see some video.
I am excited to see more 200g stuff coming out.
Can't wait for the videos.
When someone gets them, please post.

Some of the vids on Brothers site for these new items are very impressive. I especially like the combination in the first two cakes Mad Skilz and Gotham. All of the links are good but a few and are worth watching if only to see cake timing and the type of effects each cake is throwing into the sky. I agree with missinglink though and would like to see some PyroU vids as well.
Here's the ling to their vids:

Single handedly trying to stimulate the economy by purchasing more fireworks than I can afford!
In regards to the 200g vs. 350g cakes, is there typically a big price difference and is it worth it? I've only seen 200 and 500g cakes where I shop unless I haven't been looking...
I think you've seen some 350 gram cakes and maybe not realized it. Matrix Pyro and Digital Experience, for example, which we shot at Tim's are 350
THERE ARE NO 350 GRAM CAKES. There are 2 legal classifications: up to 200 gram, called "200 gram", and over 200 gram up to 500 gram, called "500 gram". 500 gram cakes are legally required to be constructed with half-inch spacers between the tubes. If you are asserting that a cake not labelled and constructed as a 500 gram cake is 350 gram, you are asserting that it is an illegal overload, and WE DON'T DO THAT HERE.

A cake could still be constructed with half-inch spacers between the tubes to meet the 500-Gram requirements and only have 350-Grams of comp. Example Phantoms "Mineshell Mayhem" packed 8/1. I would assume that any cake that is over 200-Gram and less then 500-Grams would not be considered overloaded and still be ok as long as it met the 500-Gram construction requirements.

Ok i'm officially confused now ! So there is no such thing as a 350 Gram cake by itself ? It's either up to 200 or up to 500 ? No in between ?
I almost forgot, what about all those 750 shot + Saturn batteries? I guess they are all overloaded.![]()
