    Default model rockets=legal, bottle rockets=illegal

    i dont know why i just realized this now. here in va i (or anyone with money) can walk into any hobby/toy store and buy model rockets that can go 500+ feet, but small bottle rockets are illegal

    Its because people think that others will abuse fireworks and not model rockets. But I see alot of videos modifying and abusing rocket engines.

    Here in California I have seen people do some crazy stuff with those.....way worse than with fireworks...But hey...its all politics......Whatever!

    but dont model rockets cool down before they land so you can hold them without being burt? and a model rocket's direction is controlled if theres not to much wind.

    and i also see how model rockets especially motors can be misused, once my friend tried shooting just a motor and it flew into a backyard filling the street with smoke, and of course i didnt do that with him..,

    I wonder if anyone has broken down one of those engines and weighed the comp in one of these engines. Never being involved with model rockets, I do know that they travel much, much higher than most large sky rockets. Which leads me to believe that they have more comp and if something similar was used in pyro it would be considered 1.3. Can anyone confirm or refute this?

    oh i wouldnt want to waste a perfect rocket motor to find out, and sorry i forgot the rockets still hot when it comes back down...cause i usually send my friend out to retrieve em.
