HDPE mortar tube

I was wondering is there a pipe company that sell HDPE pipe in bulk and u cut to size and
make ur own tubes? thought it would be cheaper ..

Im sure if there is a company close to where u live u could buy it cheaper, but if u have to have it shipped the cost might not be that much cheaper unless u buy a ton of it.

There are companies out there, but be ready to pay. Unless you are making a whole lot of tubes it's not worth it. Well, if you have all the equipment and you are a die-hard DIYer then it may be worth it for you. There is nothing like making your own stuff.

These are some of the tools for a good tube making party:
Drill press
Air compressor and a stapler
Table saw
Dead-blow hammer
Holesaw
Staples
Wood for making plugs
Chop saw (miter saw) with a good blade (or a big band saw)
Router and router table
Truck and trailer to go get the pipe
Gas to drive to get the pipe. Be ready to drive a few miles.


You'll probably end up spending double or more what the mortar companies are selling them for.

Eric makes a great product. as he said you can do it yourself too, but you don't need all those tools!
a chop saw and a pnumatic stapler is it!
isco has hdpe usually in 10' sticks, tell them its for fireworks.

I ordered some 12-shot racks from them two years ago. I'm probably going to order some tubes from them and make additional racks based off their design.

underground pipe in joliet has 3" for 1.98/ft and 4 for 2.15 ft,in 40ft sections, they will cut it in 10 and 20' lengths for you, isco alos has it for about the same price.
