Best reloadable shell of 2011?

My vote goes to Destroyer with mines. Destroyer without the mines is just as good, but im a huge fan of the mine to shell combo. For those of you who have never seen these in action, they have big clean breaks and a good thump. The break(thump) is like that of a Bigs pro/neon/exterminators.
Another plus about these shells is that they are easy to e-match as they have a thin piece of paper on the bottom of the lift cup.

Well I'm a newb and didn't try very many, but I'd say it depends. I really liked the Area51 shells from Hales because they had nice symmetric breaks but they were pretty low. I also liked the Predator shells just because they were loud, although they were sloppy. I also really enjoyed the "red strobe willow" from the Sky Titan shells. The rest of the Titan shells were not that great. I was also disappointed by Excal this year. In fact, in my video, most people mistook the Predator shells for Excals.

Destroyers are a private label.

They are a good quality shell that is all that I will say best shell I have ever shot!

The best shells threads have been beaten like a dead horse I intentionally avoided it. If someone knows of unique effects or something really new let's see it.

The Destoyer shell that Strobes is talking about is Dragon Slayer. Very nice shell. It is slightly underlifted but the breaks are very symetrical. The mine was kind of week on it but then again if I want a mine I usually just go for a mine. Personal opinion there. I haven't done a side by side with KODs but I think you would find that the KODs go higher and hit harder but are sloppier. KODs are also about 20% more expensive than Destoyer shells.

Destroyers are perfectly legit. Statements like this should be avoided. You make it sound like they aren't legit in a round about sort of way. My guess is that most people like them because they do appear to break larger....as I mentioned they are somewhat underlifted. People forget that when you put a shell 200 feet up in the air it is going to look smaller than if you put it 150 feet up in the air.

Those dr9 cans I got this year were pretty great, those would be my personal favorite, and they did a good job with the labeling... they were just a pain because they broke too low out of standard tubes.

There are two companies that import Destroyers. Some are cans and some are eggs. I've never seen the cans. The eggs are labeled for effect.

I like the Alien brand Shells of Vengance, They are another Excalibur shell but why I like these is they all seem to have the bigger shell effects. I see many of the labels are not correct but all the shell have the big breaking effects. When I got Excalibur's I would get some killer shells and some oh so-so shells mixed in the kits. The Shells of Vengance that I have had a chance to shoot gave you 24 big breaking shells in each box. Made in the same factory that makes Excalibur's and all the other wraps...

They must be very nice then! Zillionaires were the best of what I shot.


Edit....having now seen the Destroyers on video.....yes they are nice but I still like the mines and colors of Zillionaires.

Settle your ego down, bro. It's an opinion, not a "I've shot every shell on the market side-by-side and _______ is the best by a PGI judge's standards." That's great that you think the Destroyers are better, but not everyone has shot them. Opinion is relative.

That being said, I'm a big fan of Zillionaires.

There was a ball shell made by Forward that were called Shotgun Shells....sold by Miller's Fireworks. They are the most awesome consumer shell I have seen, very round symetrical breaks and very loud. Way better than ANY sloppy cannister break. Shells vary from year to year so the same shells may not be as good next time, but the last case I got had me wishing I had bought 4 cases.

My favorites were Golden One (zillionaire rewrap?) and Burning Rings of Fire by BC.
