Bottle rockets in daytime

I had an urge to light off something so I grabbed a handful of bottlerockets and lit them off. Broad daylight. It was fun. After they exploded I got to watch them fall back down.
Anyone else like to lite them off during the daytime?

I like to do it too but,I use the bigger Texas Pop rockets instead and I like it wayy better because they are cheap and have no color!

Bottlerockets are like the .22lr of fireworks. They are cheap, plentiful, and everyone loves setting a few off. I love setting them off in the daytime before the real shows start

That's what you do...along with firecrackers...until the sun sets, unless you have Black Cat Silver Tails. And even then...

I shoot most in the day too. Pisses less people off because nobody is sleeping in the day and people are gone at work so no cops .

If you have a bigger itch to scratch, you can always light some parachute batallions. Plus the kids love them.

I've always done bottle rockets in the day, firecrackers too. if it pops or makes a sound but no color, its getting lit during the day.

I will shoot whisteling moon travelers all day.
Between me and my friends (about 4-5 of us) we easily go through at least 15-20 gross every 4th!

Likewise. It's not like there's much to look at if we're talking regular Moon Travelers.

Back in the day, good bottle rockets would actually produce a small "break" of smoldering charcoal sparks. As a kid, I could only get a few packs at a time so I'd be sure to save most of them for nightime use for that reason.

I'm a bottle rocket and whistler in the day time type of guy also. Keeps the time moving as I'm cooking, trying last minute planning of where I want to stick this station or cake. Also keeps my mind off of 'should have gotten this or should have gotten that'. Lots of stress during the fourth. I'm exhausted. Have been fusing, laying things out. I've changed the configuration of my show so many times.

I shoot them low to the ground against the dark back drop of trees out back. Cloudy days even better and a little light rain is perfect.

I only shoot them in the daytime. I also use firecrackers and smoke bombs. I like rolling smoke bombs towards the street. Its funny to watch them cheap old smoke balls roll. Or I throw them up in the air just before they start smoking.

bottle rockets and firecrackers are my pyro fix year round...so cheap, yet, so effective. i love em. well worth the 80 bucks or so for two cases.

I light my whistling moon travelers off during the day and save the silver foxes for night time since i gotta light the aerials slow due to police

Definitely going to be doing them and some other small stuff like firecrackers and missiles during the day, I can't wait for the nighttime to get going!
