Phantom coupons stingy this year?

I have a nice wholesale stash for the 4th, but I like to buy some retail. I'll probably spend less than $100 retail. The coupons Phantom puts in the weekly newsletter are usually the best for me, since I don't buy enough to qualify for their better coupons.

Are they extra stingy with the good coupons this year? Last year, they had the following coupons that I took advantage of (not all in the same week of course):

$99 500g repeater for $25 (got untamed retribution aka uncle sam's answer)
Shag Mojo (nice 200g cake) for $9
select 200g repeaters $9.99 ( I got rain of fire)
Single shot tube for $5? (may have been up to $10 can't remember) I got the electric orange.

These prices are pretty nice for retail. I went in with my wife and loaded up!

I'm still waiting for something good this year. So far the coupons have been pretty much garbage compared to last year. Hopefully they get better over the next couple of weeks or I won't be stopping by Phantom this year.

Those deals are for 2008. This year they don't have anything close to that. I know costs are up, but they're not offering close to the deals they did last year to get people in the door.

yeah....they shove out a coupon good for only a week, and is closer to the holiday(4th or whichever)

Yeah I got that flyer in the mail and it's insane. It seems like only a couple of years ago the best 500g in the store was only $99.

When I first started going there about 6-7 years ago they were no higher then $59.99.

LOL, a local seasonal fireworks place was selling those fiery eye wheels for $16.00 a piece(phantom had 2 for about $20). Most of their stuff made Phantom's prices look a whole lot better. Of course, not all seasonal stands(or renting out an empty place) are quite that bad.

Maybe I better check and see if they had BOGO for $16.00.

The stand had Lock n Loads for I think $89. Not sure how that is for retail to be honest.

I went to phantom last wens and they were dead.No customers at all except me and i stayed for 40 minutes.About the crazy prices,well thats why bigs received my $1000 dollers.

Ive been stopped going to Phantom because each year their prices kept getting higher.

I bought 2 bricks of firecrackers BOGO and that was it. 10 bucks is all they are getting from me!!!
