  1. Weather Weather Weather !!!!! hot dry no rain

    I hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th and shoot night. This year to this day still has not yielded significant moisture(rain) to the point to even think of making it safe to shoot. My lawn looks like dried hay has the texture of sharp needles and one can't walk on it in bare feet.

    Even the dogs don't like it. It has been blistering hot and there is no break in sight.....I don't know who the heck did not pay the water bill but this is crazy. Hundreds of acres of bean and corn fields ...

  2. As the winter thaw begins or starts or whatever is up with this weather....

    It's cold out and snow is here, been reading searching watching videos been in contact with my dad, and started the whole process all over. The Demos are listed the maps are pulled out the dates are circled on the calendar.....it's only a matter of time.

    The fourth will be here quickly even though it's in the middle of the week this year..(UGH!!!)...It won't stop the enthusiasm for the date or the celebration that goes with it.

    As the journey begins to each of us ...

  3. Now that the 4th is over

    Now that the 4th is over and another safe and happy celebration has passed us....I realized one thing...I forgot to have my wife video the display...I really meant to have her do that...I wanted to see it from their perspective...The whole neighborhood was out watching...This was my first year going from retail to wholesale and of course we have a bunch of stuff left over but that won't slow us for next year...All of my products performed well except for the XS HD Neon Tubes...the fuses went very ...

  4. One Week Away

    The itch is getting bad it's almost time to uncase everything begin setting up the boards...getting out the fuse tape and zip ties....what was that "boom".....I walk out of the garage and look to the sky it's not thunder (yet) and I hear another....my neighbors have begun the annual celebration of freedom in the United States....I walk in the house I tell the wife it's getting dark the neighbors won't mind....I go on and on about how I just want to let one go....she tells me no...the rest ...

  5. Fireworks Adventure

    Recently as a part of my father's 65th birthday, I decided to take a little trip and asked him to come along. The both of us had picked up the pyro bug from my grandfather (dad's dad) who was a career firefighter for the City of Chicago. His side gig with a couple of other guys was always to work the fireworks displays and he would ultimately put on a yearly show at his cottage in Indiana when he was alive.
