I just spent a couple of minutes playing with some new Excalibur tubes I got in my cases and was wondering what anyone has to say about the way I cleaned it up and using it in a cheap rack.
I tipped the tube over and scored around the bottom with a utility knife and hit it with a hammer. It broke off clean but was not the same diameter as the top. I took a angle grinder with a 3M coating removal disc and sanded it to get it the same size as the top. All total it took about 2 minutes to reach this point. What do you think? Any reasons as to why I should or should'nt? I have a pile of these laying around and it is not much work for a cheapo rack.
Thanks
