When used on visco, do the clips survive to be reused? Being able to reuse them would be a big plus and savings for the e-firing consumer.
I have the "stick in the lift" clips and they are consumed when fired. I haven't found any remnants of them during post shoot inspection.
I have only tested the RED Quick-Fire LC Clips...These are the same "stick in the lift" clips you are referring to....
You can use them for more than just the lift charges....You can stick VISCO fuse straight into the hole in the tube that is normally stuck into the lift charge....When you do this, THE CLIP will SURVIVE! It is a little black...but you can reuse it....just need to make yourself a special tool/prong to slide on either side of the tabs that lock the two have together...that makes opening it up easier. I used 12 of them on ematches, connected straight on to 12 different 1.4g cakes's VISCO fuse....Just used DUCT tape and taped the clip to the cake once the VISCO is inserted all the way....I did trim all the fuses to the same length of the tube on the clip....about 1"...for timing..it takes almost exactly 3.5 to 4 seconds to ignite the cake....
There are two other versions of the Quick-Fire clips...but they are not in "PRODUCTION" only limited quantities for test and interest.....the Yellow "VF" clip...for "Visco Fuse" is specifically designed for ematch to Visco...and it has also been provent to work with the new "Lightning Thermo Tube" product....
Cheers,
