OK-
Last year, I found these heavy-duty cardboard tubes that are 8" round X 8" high X 1/3" thick. They are the inside "spindle" of a roll of heavyweight pvc sheeting. I found that 5 1-3/4" HDPE tubes fit very nicely inside. I filled the remainder with Great Stuff. I used 4 of these "pods" in last years show. Now I'm wondering... I have access to very nice cardboard barrels, that would hold 25 or 30 HDPE tubes. I am thinking of the safety factor involving reaching the inner tubes, & comparing this to refilling a cake like Big Man. An alternate idea is to attach the HDPE tubes only to the perimeter, using a smaller barrel to create an inner wall. Then place a cake or 2 in the middle. I should say the barrels will be cut to 12" height. Any thoughts, suggestions, or concerns?

Sounds like it should provide a nice stable rack

Does it have a bottom?

Filler up and take a picture, sounds like it should be fine if everything fits snugly and it's thick enough to withstand a worst case.
