Fellow Pyro's - the use of PVC to hold pyrotechnic composition/devices with pyrotechnic composition is expressly forbidden. With permission from the owner of the following picture (to whom which I apologize if I appeared to have over reacted) I have converted this thread to a sticky to demostrate what NOT to use/build! PVC (PollyVinylChlorid) will create schrapnel in an accidental condition and will not hold up to repeated use as well as other pyro industry certified mortar tubes like HiDensityPollyEthelyne, Cardboard, Fiberglass or Steel.
Also note - I'm asking the administrators to post the sticky that Don F created on the old form showing what happens when an inverted consumer aerial shell was safely and purposely detonated in both an HDPE and PVC mortar tube! The evidence is overwhelming and is a dramatic expression of what will happen if PVC is continued to be used!

Many thanks to pyrointheskyguy for the use of the picture!
