I'm planning on doing a sign for my niece's birth day and was wondering what is the burn time on these.

Around 45-60 seconds but you should do a test

They will vary by manufacturer. So a test is a good idea. But most of them seem to be in the 45-60 second range.
The longer ones will burn longer, but using the 36" ones would not be feasible. They would bend too much.

If you want a longer burn time, you might try using the 5 minute Pyro torches. They obviously burn for 5 minutes. They burn one color for a stretch of time and then change to a different color as they burn. I think they burn gold, red and green colors.

I tried this a long time ago and had some problems. I didnt have the knowlegde at the time as i do now so i may have done it wrong but do alot of tests before spending a ton of time setting it up.

I don't think morning glories will be the best for setting up a sign because when it starts off you can probalby read it but when it starts to do the crackling you won't.So I would get the mini fountains.

The Morning Glorys I have seen, crackle at the end of their performance. I guess it just depends on the manufacturer.
