Just wanting to see if any one has ever shot any Big Guns, by U S A firework companey. I have seen where some of you have compared Excals to Rambo kids and said that Excals were better but not by much. My experience with Big guns is that when the shot lifts it the air, it sounds very professional (going up and giving me that beautiful sight in the sky) and in my openion has an edge on the Rambo Kids. I have also not ever had the pleasure of having any Excals ( seeing them or shooting them ) But you can bet one thing if I ever see any for sell I will get me some !!!!! Thanks in advance Any thoughts on this.

The Big Guns shells are the same as Rambo Kid shells. You may see a slight difference in them for various reasons, but they are the same canister shells coming from Beihai.
Some people say the Rambo Kids are very close to Excals and some even say they are better. I don't agree. My comparisons have shown me that Excals are superior in altitude and even more so in the size of the break. Still yet, Rambos and the many copies would be my choice if I couldn't get Excals.

the Big Guns are a nice kit.
they are rewraps of the rambo kids.
The ones I have shot did have a nice lift but imo the difference is the tubes that they come with.
The Big Guns had a nice double thick cardboard tube and the shells seemed to fit in tighter.

I've noticed that too, Jeff. When the Beihai canisters fit snugly, they really bang out of there and get much higher! Needless to say, I try to take advantage of this when I'm loading tubes!
James, to me this is never an either or proposition, I use both. The Excals for that extra ooomph, the Maxblasts for the more symmetrical breaks, nicer effects, and better colors. Now, I' only had access to the "jumbo stars" assortment, so I've never seen the willow or brocade shells, but it would take some doing to one up the Royal Crown shell in the Maxblast kit. I get both kits for the same price, so performance is my only factor. I'm an effects nerd, so I marked the Excals down for the sloppy, not so shapely breaks. Not much that can be done about that-it's a function of the shape of the shell and the way it is loaded. I found some of the colors to be a bit washed out too. They DO fit in well for the powerful breaks though!

How does one know if a shell is a rewrap of another shell. Such as Big Guns and Rambo Kids. They both look so diffrent ???

If the shells themselfs look like these, they are re-wraps of Beihai Rambo Kids..
