I'm fairly new to the pyro scene and if it wasnt for this site, i dont think i would be so big into fireworks as I am today. I built my first rack last year and while all the shells went off, the rack itself had some damage.
After studying the damage to my racks i noticed that the weakest point are the joints. I am making this thread to help my fellow beginner pyros in making more durable racks so that they would last years of shooting.
All of the ideas below I applied to my new racks, but have yet to test their strength.
If anyone else has ideas for reinforcement of the racks, please share them.
One last thing, my finished black rack below is sturdy as a rock. It doesnt bend or rock when I pick it up, push it around, or lean on it.
