Bet you are tired, I didnt have near the drive you did and Im beat .
Hard to believe it took 7 guys all day to match and drop shells for a 20 odd minute $5000 display ;) .
We picked up the firing system and left the racks , its raining now so will likely pick them up monday.
One of the sponsors said people were moved to tears during the song Alington . You have know Idea how relieved I was to see all the Crosses light on cue. All those set pieces that Sooner and I set up and checked fired faultlessly . a 6x8 flag during the national anthem, a field of a dozen crosses for the song "arlington", and a 12x 18 flag for the johnny cash song ragged old flag
I know the set pieces wont show up on the video but I sure hope all those willows do. I do love those brocade crown times 3 and the 12"er was awsome .

That was pretty cool how Mike hit all of those crosses on cue with that part of the arlington song!!
I was worried i didn't wire something right on the crosses but it turned out great. $5000 dollar display yeah i believe that ;)
I think the only problems we had were one 8" & 6" & one B cake that failed to light and a rail that was somehow not plugged in:eek: But was all in all a dang good show!

Jasper is the kind of town that makes you proud to shoot in .
The people of Jasper held a raffle and concert ,to our suprise announced that all proceed would be going to the families of the Three Men lost in the aug 8th explossion at fireworks spactacular. In addition the lead tech was grand martial of the veterans day parade .
The people of Jasper go above and beyond to welcome us every year .
After the display they are always there with hot chocolate cookies and firm hand shakes.
Shooting the display to honor their veterans Is a honor in its self .
You would be hard pressed to find a better example of the idealistic small town america. Unlike the movies though These people are real.
