Area 51 Demo Night Rock Quarry Shoot

Last weekend while at Area 51, the April Demo Night invitation list was out. We were reminded to put ours names on the list to be contacted regarding the shoot in 4 months. I am sure you can call Area 51 to get information regarding the Product Demo.

i would like to know who is planing on going. I will be there all weekend. I would like to set up a group shoot as well. i hope not evey one got there fireworks fix on april 1st shoot. And if any one wants to hang out at tims or do dinner or play some craps let me know.

i want to have a group shoot on the weekend of the demo. should it be on the night of sat or sunday night. so far i know of about 4 people going to the demo but i have not hear anyone talk about a group shoot. so i might have to shoot alone: :(

yes, I am going to the demo but no shoot. I am looking to split about 10-15 cases with anyone. As a note, for some reason every hotel in vegas is BOOKED SOLID for the 22nd. Even the hotels in Pahrump are full.

pb dude, keep checking saddles west website www.saddlewest.com and you might find a room. as of yesterday i only had saturday night but tonight i got fridays lol. big golf deal in town that weekend.... As far as splitting cases i would suggest maybe posting the list so the guys can see what you are looking for.

and a bunch of Brothers.Unless they got more in Remembrance was out of stock, there are some Excals. Now splitting the UP Plats would be hard considering they come 1/1 LOL! They did not have full cases of the Alien cakes just some Retail pieces.

The demo was O.K. the finale was killer.I was really impressed with Chopper(WC).Several people went back to Area-51(including myself)to purchase Chopper.Whatever E-Fire panel was being used,for some reason was not working properly.Several cakes had to be hand-lit.Loved the UP PPS cakes.I was impressed with some cakes that I had seen on video but was not impressed when I saw them on video.As always video does fireworks no justice.It was a good turn out.Thanks to the person for hooking-up my friend with your super discount.You are a big-time player.Once again thanks.My friend was going to purchase through someone else,but his prices were a little bit more.
We enjoyed our time in Pahrump.It was nice meeting a couple of you guys at Sonic.I also stopped at Phantom & Outlaw.Dave has some KILLER shells.
I didn't take notes but ALOT of WC items stole the show,(in my opinion).You can't go wrong between Hales & Jakes.My friend who bought from Area-51 will be on a group buy from Jakes next month.He showed me that several people over in the Yahoo group will be in on the buy.Can't wait until the next shoot.(Hopefully around Oct. or Nov.)Take care my fellow pyro friends.

I did take some pretty good notes. I also did do a video but... Rookie mistake just got the camera a couple weeks ago I had it in nightshoot mode. All my video is in black and white not so good for seeing color ha-ha-ha! It was good video though for seeing the breaks, sizes, and effects. I don't know how to post it. So I think I'll turn a copy of it over to someone else in a week and see if they think is worth the time to post.
I will say that my video did capture the excal/black mamba comparison. Excals were the clear winner by almost 50'.
Asia Pyro held it's own with the Pro Series 500 grams and Big Finish. Almost all were great effect and impressive.
The (big) Brothers 9 shot had lrg breaks KB was my personal favorite.
World Class took the night with some really great cakes.
Not In My Yard had good color, nice finish, good glitter.
Peacock 180 shot get it as soon as it comes in this fan/waterfall type was so beautiful it won't stay on the shelves. The gold tails were thick rich in color the tips changed color with each new fan.
Chopper gives the 3" a run for it's money massive high breaks.
Too Damn Good all gold this one just filled the sky. Nice!
Only The Strong Survive unique 3 color peonies 1st shots red, blue, yellow. strong color. neat.
The Big Dog verybig bursts.
March or Die great height
One Big (SOB) really pretty great shape long lasting effect.
Platinum Pro Series UP 2,6,7 the best of all
Wicked Cool fish,fish, and more fish.
Golden Eye brothers neat gold mines pretty tips.

I wouldn't normally post my notes like this but I know many of my fellow pyro's just couldn't make it and I wanted to help you out as best as I could. Just do me a favor don't buy up all my reviews before I get a chance to.:lol: :lol: :lol:
I know it may drive some of you crazy to see me out at the shoots asking what was that but at least now you see that I am serious about reviewing my fireworks. Thank you for always helping me out with the names of your items.:)

+rep to Metalpyroworkswyfe. Thank you for the reviews. I think the 500gm cake that stood out the most was defineatley Chopper. Its just as good if not better than the new 3' 500g cakes.

I also agree with you about the Black Mambas. After all the hype, Excalibur was clearly the winner...The Rambo Kids/Sky Plasmas I think are better than the Mambas :cool:

All in all...had a good time talkin shop w/ the fellow pyros and meeting new faces.

Big thanks for Bayare510 and Noslo98 and others. Involved in firing the Demo & Shows. We had a Demo then a 20,000 shot Saturn show then the signature move. Letter Rip!!!

I got a chance to meet and greet a bunch of the Pyro-U guys this trip that I had not met before.. I had a great trip...(The first time I did not have to drive.. )

The Demo...IMO

Best Breaks of the night.. Brothers Knockout Brocade. Still the King. Right behind it was World Class. One Big (SOB) Son Of Brocade, Then The Big Dog- Outstanding Blue! The new King Of Blue Effects. All these cakes by far, had the biggest breaks of the night.

Black Mamba. Sorry guys. In heard say "the breaks looked like SNM 2005”. I say SNM 2006! Not the best value either. Excals blew them out of the water, but we already knew that was going to happen. I would prefer a Rambo Kid to a Mamba any day.

The Outstanding Cake of the night. World Class Chopper right behind it -World Class Peacock.

dude there is video and it will be up some time this week. almost everyone at the demo said the same thing, the height wasnt there but the color was great. plain and simple if the cost is lower then excal they will sell.

look i'm just starting to suspect a few things around here thats all.

if i'm right it's not like it's a bad marketing ploy or anything. i'm sure many other manufcturers, wholesalers, retailers, would love to have such an unfair advantage. it just sucks that good product gets poo pooed by people for thier own gain.

again it's just my opinion but i shoot x-cals all the time, and i shot mambas friday. i just can't see how anyone with fair judgement can claim the x-cals are so much better, or that the mambas aren't much better than a ball shell. it's just so blatently obvious that some people won't give anything a fair chance unless it's wrapped up in a WC label.

actually i'm just gonna go ahead and spoil the suprise ahead of schedule.

watch my vid again.....the last 3 shells are 05 SNM

i knew this was gonna happen so i dropped thoese in to prove a point.

and sure enuff i win my bet....thanks for the 50 bucks guys
