When making a rocket rack, is it best to use PVC? Also, what is the best way to attach the pieces of PVC? I have seen a lot of people using 2 small pieces of PVC on their rack. An example:http://www.pyroreview.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/1866/sort/1/cat/all/page/1
Is it better to just use one piece, like this:

With my limited experience with rockets, I don't think there is a "better" way per se. I think it is greatly determined on what you want to do. And my initial thoughts with PVC, is it is plastic, rockets burn hot, it will melt. Obviously there are users that either don't have this problem, or it doesn't not melt enough to be a problem...
But a "better" idea in my eyes, is the #8 eye bolts...well that or copper tubing, but I can only imagine how much a rocket rack would cost using that, not to mention the weight factor.
As for attaching them, people have used Liquid Nails.

You could use PVC, however, after a little while, glueing each piece to the wood is a pain in the butt. This is the way I went: Used #8 eyehole screws instead of PVC in the wood to hold the rockets. Heres the Rocket Rack pictures. (http://www.pyroreview.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/5341/sort/2/cat/520/page/1) Hope I helped. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

I've done it both ways. Pvc is cheaper, because all you need is a 10 foot length and liquid nails. Thats about 3 bucks or less. The eyehooks cost somewhere around 6-7 bucks for 50, and I end up using all 50 for a 24 shot rack. I go with eyehooks from now on just because I don't own an electric saw and last time i cut 100 1" pieces of pvc with a handsaw I thought I was going to lose my arm. If you have an electric saw, It's your choice. Pvc is less than half the price, but eyehooks to me, look better.
