Hey man, I see that a majority of the roman candles you have in the rack are from Phantom. Have you got some Flashing Thunder candles in there? Loudest ones out there.

these were just left overs from last years buy. my mom bought some thinking some of the people could light them but nobody did so i had 2 3/4 roman candle assortments from phantom left over (wich is about 68 in each assortment) i was thinking about buying roman candles this year but im buying wholesale and starting to think that a gross of the same roman candle will get boring considering i have this rack full and i still have another full assortment bag.

im going to put these in the show right when the finale starts so those start first then my pps 6 and cakes go off... theres going to be alot of different effects in my finale including 2 fountains on either side and mine cakes. i know this roman candle idea has been talked about and is simple but i just wanted to show you guys how mine came out. i juist wish they made visco alittle fast than 5 seconds per foot. i want to get this in like an all shot at same time kinda thing... or atleaste not in a z style. i want to have it symetrical (the one rack of candles) so that either they all go off or 1 goes off from each side.
kinda like a figure 8 but not having them criss cross.

Not bad at all. You will have a hell of a time trying to time them perfectly. But it sounds like a cool idea. I have to figure out how to make a rocket rack for my newly acquired Thunder Sticks

If your gonna shoot all those candles out of one milk crate style rack like that at one time you're gonna need some quickmatch or some sticky. If you're gonna use some fast visco you should make a few racks then set them off simultaneously.Just some advice because that's alot of candles.

Another method is ditching the fusing altogether & handfiring them with a simple swipe of something like a Bernzomatic propane/MAPP torch.

Another way... and I'll stress that caution must be used as you can easily over-do it, is to go the route many use to light large numbers of bottle rockets... BP.

The above rack isn't the best suited for this method (an easier way would be to simply bundle all the candles together & then use something to hold the entire bundle). Spray a lil adhesive on them & dip them in a layer of BP (use as little as possible... a little goes a long way). Attach a long fuse & securely cover the rack with foil to avoid early ignition.

what i was going to do is just use some visco in the pattern i described and then take some bp and pour alittle in each end of the roman candle so i dont have any duds from the visco not being on the fuse for too long.

OR you coulf use the flamethrow method! lol just kidding. there is another method someone posted, where they put glue on the roman candle around the fuse and put black powder on the glue, and let it dry, and lit it like that.
