Well, it took a little longer to clear the city lawyers than I expected, but my presentation is now online & viewable to the public. You can find it here..

Just click on the Fireworks Safety pic, & download the powerpoint show.
I am waiting on legal approval from 6 other Indiana counties. I will post those links as they come in.

A very, very nice presentation, lwood. It's great the city agreed to post this. Now all we need to do is get people to read and follow the advice by linking to it every chance we get. Again, great job putting this together!

Hey guys,
I was contacted yesterday by the Fire Chief that has posted my presentation. I accepted an offer to appear on a local cable tv show, where the host is anti-fireworks. It will be a point/counterpoint discussion, approximately 45 minutes in length. I will be naming Pyro universe as THE source of consumer fireworks safety discussions, methods of use, & general information. Once again, Colin, a big thanks for everything this site has done for all of us, & for all the injury-free shoots directly related to this site.
I will get a tape of the show, make a wmv, & get it up at pyro review as soon as I can.

Again, excellent!

While most levels of government like to take the hard line (because that's the only way government knows how to deal with things) approach and ban fireworks, education is the key. We need to educate governmental officials as well as the citizens. If we can do this then decades old attitudes towards fireworks can be changed.
