Hey guys Im in search of a 3" id plexaglass or polycarbonate tube to use as a teaching tool in a safety class . it will not be used to fire anything just to demonstrate how debri in the tube can cause a shell to break low .

I posted a topic on the clear tubes in the old forums, I found a site that had 3" ID acryllic clear tubing, ill try to find it again.

C'mon Don, admit it. Yer gonna get a few of em' and try them out. :D
Seriously, it would be an excellent training tool. Wouldn't mind stealing the idea myself, in the name of safety of course. :redface:

Imo show making some cutaways to show shell construction and am working on a 24" shell/cooler just for fun . we have a few ideas for video demonstrations to work on this winter

I am not 100%sure, but most materials described as "plexiglass" has a tendancy to shatter like PVC. I know this because we have tested some of these materials to destruction in a hyperbaric chamber.
Polycarbonate is probably a better choice.

Don, you & everyone else are more than welcome to use the cut leader saftey video we posted on pyroreview a few days ago. I can e mail it to you if you want. I've noticed it gets a little darker as the format gets changed, the original is slightly better.
