I did a scaled back version of my show last night. Roughly 39 shells, 2 5oog cakes,and 12 200g cakes. This was mostly tryouts and extra stuff i had laying around. In no particular order:
Fandango. This was my finale. I really like this cake. Excellent colors!!! Started out with a bright, vibrant, almost blood red; then green;then a beautiful lemon yellow; then 4 simultaneous shots of the crackling flower effect, then 2 rounds of 4 shots at once of crackling palms. these last were the crackling comets type of palms, that some manufacturers call dragon eggs! Nice variety of effects! Decent size breaks, with a good pop- the focus here is on colors, not massive, huge breaks.
Golden Crown I have shot this before, but forsome reason Iwas more impressed with it last night. Maybe because I wasn't expecting much. The last 4 barrages are still the best part,but the green to red wave breaks were looking very nice this time. Not huge breaks, but decent. The initial wave of"gold palm" breaks look more like short lived willows or crowns then palms. In quantity, this would really shine-especially the ending!
Jaw Breaker Boomer does it AGAIN! This time with a 3 shot assortment of cakes named Chili pepper, JawBreaker, and Road show. This cake ROCKS! Begins with a series of color breaks-each containing a vibrant yellow along with 1 other color. So you get red and yellow, green and yellow, and blue and yellow. Wicked good colors and combinations! Real yellow, not gold or orange. Then it switches to crackling comets up to purple stars that end in popcorn crackle and yellow stars that end in popcorn crackle. Chili Pepper is also assorted effects and Road Show is all crackling chrys breaks. I have not shot either of those, but they were highly recommended to me.
Scarlet in Lace WOW!!! I've been passing this one up for a while, and now I'm kicking myself for it! Gorgeous! Gold comets with red flecks break open loudly into gold to glittering red breaks!! I've been wishing for a cake of all red glitter, and here it has been all this time...
Star Thunder This has been around for a while. 25shots of nice, big, white breaks! I'm already planning on using this with Blinking dragon breath and an all red cake for the fourth!

I also shot some Spirit of liberty shells. I am quite happy with these. Nice loud take off and nice pop to the breaks. cool effects too, like scrambling comets, and lots of palm pistils. If you like glitter, this kit is for you-they combine it with just about every other effect... I shot them with Total Exposure, and they don't compare size-wise. Still,they are worth getting-you get a huge selection of shells and effects. I think that comparison says more about how huge T.E.'s breaks are than the Spirit's having small ones anyhow... 5 different kinds of shells too-balls, canisters, doubles, triples,and quads.
