Do Excal tubes shoot most consumer shells? Or do they have to be all 1.75 shells??

The only problem with using smaller shells is the lift of the shell is not the same. If your doing it @ a distance a few low breaks would probably not be important. I'd say if you have the space go for it, I love excals because they give you the 2 free tubes per box :D

because they have to...if they had a choice they'd probably only include 1.

I would prefer to have zero tubes to save on shipping costs.

Excal tubes are the same as 2" dr11, and will work well for any shells over 1 5/8" OD. Anything smaller and you need a smaller ID mortar.
