Before proceeding to the chat room, please be aware of the following:

1. If you are a "New Member" (ie, you have less than ten posts on the forum), you cannot access the chat room - a "banned" message will be displayed. This is meant to cut down on spam and chat room abuse. Once you make five forum posts, you will be able to get in. Please do not email me about this.

2. If you are a regular member and are having difficulties accessing the chat, please do email me so I can make sure your IP wasn't inadvertently banned.

3. All chat room messages (including private conversations) are automatically logged by the chat software. These messages can be accessed by the forum moderators if the need arises, but they are not continuously monitored - you can put the tin foil hat away.

4. If you don't want to see this message each time, just add the actual chat room to your favorites folder (once you get connected).
